“Action Sheet” to keep you on track
March 4, 2008
I’ve been a bit under the weather the last couple days, so the updated Bear list might not be out as soon as I thought. In conjunction with revamping the list, I’ve been putting together a simple document to help me keep track of upgrades and activities I need to be concentrating on when I play. The intent is for it to be a simple way to keep track of the gear upgrades and enchantments I need, activities I should be focusing on in my spare time, and a summary section so I can see at a glance what’s important to me right now. I tried to keep it all on one page, so it could be printed out and taped/stapled/pinned to your play area.
It dawned on me that maybe this is something that could help you out also, so I’ve uploaded it to Google Docs where you can view it, print it, and download it. (To download, click the “File” button towards the top left).
I left most of it blank since you’ll be wanting to fill in your specifics. Those yellow blocks are my priority coloring. I plan on coloring my highest priorities red, things that need upgrading but are “okay” as they are yellow, and no coloring will mean I’m okay with this right now. Again, just keeping it simple, but providing some easy visual clues to help guide my gameplay.
Anyway, here’s the link. Give me some feedback and let me know if this is helpful. If there are changes to the document that you think would make it even better, let me know and I’ll update it.

In my personal action sheet (which is in need of updating), I also have sections for:
* professions (e.g. “continue to level fishing skill”, “golden darters sell well on the AH”, “gather 2 stacks of ragveil for potions”)
* things I want to keep an eye out for on the auction house (”need 2 arcane tomes for shoulder enchants”, “look for depleted badge under 1200g”)
* top five instances I’d like to run, with the reason (”SV - CE rep”, “Old Hillsbrad - tank ring”)
* top five quests I’d like to run, if I’m looking for specific gear,
* materials I want to gather (”alchemist’s stone - need 3 more primal might == 3x primal fire, 3x primal earth, 3x primal air, rest in bank”).
* enchants I’d like for each slot, with materials

Mosshoof - thanks for the feedback, you make some interesting points. Personally, I was thinking I would put most of that in the various gear slots and use the summary section at the top to guide me on a daily basis. I do like however, how you broke everything down. I’ll take a look at my sheet and see if I can work in your ideas and repost.
