Monstrous Kaliri tactic?

Now that I’m getting back into Amanna, I’m trying to do the few dailies I have on a more regular basis. So this afternoon, I headed out to Skettis to bomb me some eggs. Of course, you can’t do that without getting a couple Monstrous Kaliri on your tail. Elune, are they annoying!!! Especially so since I still don’t have epic flight form. Yes, I know…
Anyway, I tried something that seemed to work and I can’t believe I’m the first to try this, but I don’t remember reading it anywhere. Once a Kaliri aggroed on me I just clicked out of flight form, dropped a bit, then clicked back into flight form. I really only tried it a couple times, but both times it seemed like the second I dropped out of flight form, the Kaliri dropped aggro on me.
Not sure if that was what was really happening, or if so if this is even news for you all - but just in case it’s a valid tactic I wanted to let you know. Those dang birds are just too annoying!

Yeah… dropping out of flight form is dangerous because you are in combat with the bird, and if he stays on you then you’re dead. Now the only time I really ever go to Skettis is for the Kaliri cooking daily, and if that’s the case I’m always trying to find them and kill them.
A little hint on this: Kill the bird, get your wing, cook it on the spot, kill another bird and get another wing for next time. Save yourself the trouble
